"Jelly, 41, and Bunnie, 46, acknowledged that they were told 'there may be consequences pertaining to this Agreement with respect to their genetic materials, due to evolving technology and case law; as well as the 'interim category' of interest afforded to said genetic materials,'" Page Six reported.
Despite the warnings, neither Jelly Roll nor Bunnie XO appears to have changed their stance. Instead, the couple have noted that their legal representatives "are not experts with regard to genetic and reproductive rights."
As such, the former couple was advised to seek advice from qualified experts. Page Six has reported that neither opted to seek counsel ahead of the divorce proceedings.
Since their split, Bunnie XO has revealed, during an episode of her "Dumb Blonde" podcast, that she will not let her separation from Jelly Roll stop her from becoming a mother. The couple had previously battled through multiple rounds of IVF therapy. They're now expected to use a surrogate to have a baby.
Bunnie XO Has Since Praised Jelly Roll for Wanting To Have a Baby With Her
In a June 18 episode of her podcast, Bunnie XO revealed that both she and Jelly Roll still plan on having a baby and co-parenting.
"We're going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Like, this isn't what you guys think this is," Bunnie said on an episode of her podcast. "Nobody cheated on the other person. It's literally just we served our purpose for each other."
"And J has been so f--king great about us still having a baby together. He wants the same thing," she continued at the time. "And we're just going to raise little Nugget as one big happy family."
With Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll seemingly clear on their decision to raise a child together, it's unlikely they change course. As such, we'll likely see news of their pair becoming parents in the not-too-distant future.
