Jelly Roll has responded to Jesse Watters' claims that he's using Ozempic for his weight loss. She recently questioned whether the "Save Me" star had been using the GLP1 to speed up how quick he's slimmed down.

"Next up to bat, Jelly Roll," Watters said. "They should put a warning label on Ozempic. Side effects can include increased risk of TDS. If you notice signs like irritability, depression, and trouble sleeping, please see a doctor."
Over the past few days, Jelly Roll has been filling in for Jimmy Kimmel, guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! During Monday's episode, the country star addressed Watters' comments.
"Okay, first of all Jesse, I'll have you know Ozempic is the only drug I haven't tried," he said in response. "I know it sounds unbelievable, but I lost weight the old-fashioned way: cocaine," he joked. "No seriously, I got in shape before the GLP-1 craze started. And I'm kind of proud of the fact that I did it through diet and exercise."
Jelly Roll continued to see the funny side of things, as he continued cracking jokes.
"But I also kinda feel like a dude who bought the last horse and buggy the day before they started selling cars," he joked.
Jelly Roll's Weight Loss Saved His Life
During an episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast in December 2025, Rogan noted that Jelly Roll's weight loss likely saved his life.
"Look at Jelly Roll," Rogan said. "That dude just added decades onto his life. He was on his way out; he was close. He was on his way out...You get too big and then you probably have sleep apnea, so you ain't getting any sleep. So at night he's choking, you know, and you're lying in bed in these weird hotel rooms."
Interestingly, Rogan and Jelly Roll had previously discussed his weight loss journey on the show.
"I've had to change my ring size five times in this process," Jelly Roll said. "I've changed clothes for two years...Cam said this yesterday. It was so funny. He said, 'you know why you're inspiring so many people? He said, 'Think about how much David Goggins inspired people because he went from 300 pounds to getting in shape.' He said, 'and you've lost David Goggins at his biggest.' I'd never even thought of it that way."
Unfortunately, in 2026, anyone losing weight will be accused of using a GLP1. However, Jelly Roll is clearly proud of the work he's put in, and therefore, is well positioned to clap back at any doubters.
