Jeff Bridges Reveals He Lost His House In California Wildfire

As fires continue to rage across the state, many people have lost their homes in the California wildfire. In addition to everyday people, celebrities are also bearing the brunt of this tragic event. Various famous people have lost their homes in the devastation, including actor Jeff Bridges.

TMZ announced that the actor lost his family home in Malibu amid the fires. While the actor himself has not addressed the public, his representation has confirmed that the four-bedroom property has been destroyed.

Taste Of Country shared that Jeff Bridges supposedly shared the home with his siblings. All of which inherited it from their mother, who had owned it since the 1950s. Besides the family connection, this home also offered stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and access to a semi-private beach.

Jeff Bridges is not the only celebrity to lose their home in this unfortunate turn of events. Other stars such as Paris Hilton, Ricki Lake, James Woods, Billy Crystal, and more have also lost their homes. Additionally Brad Paisley and his wife are mourning the loss of their first home together as well.

Information On The California Wildfire

As the devastating fires continue to rage, here are some current stats about the situation. According to CBS News "Fires across the Los Angeles area have killed at least 24 people." Additionally, they have "destroyed more than 12,000 structures and scorched more than 60 square miles."

With winds expected to pick up as well, they have now issued an "Extremely critical fire weather" forecast for the region. "92,000 people in Los Angeles County were under evacuation orders" and strict curfews are in place in fire zones.

In addition to losing homes, people in the fire zone areas are at risk for other issues as well. Issues such as smoke inhalation or contaminated drinking water threaten to plague individuals living near the destruction. Not to mention the toll it is taking on local plant and wildlife as well.
