Keough and Her Children Are Staying Optimistic
Per Us Weekly, Shane Keough said, "She's strong through this. She's got a good support network down there. Colton, our younger brother, is there [in Orange County, California], so she's on the right path. But you know, it's tough for everybody, and we're just trying to make sure she stays on her program so she's strong when this is done."
Kara Keough Bosworth observed that there is still a lot about her mom's health situation that is murky. However, she, Shane, and Jeana want to remain hopeful and positive. "We don't know. We won't know anything. I think she'll get cancer to bend to her will, like she does with everything else in,life. we're choosing to stay in that mindset."
A GoFundMe Was Established for Her But Donations Are Now Paused
The GoFundMe is captioned, "Support Jeana's Cancer Treatment Journey." It raised $66,821 of a goal of $90,000. It states, "Donations paused."
In the essay in the page, Kara explains that her mom said she had "a painful spot on her tongue." It had been lingering for practically a year. That turned out to be squamous cell carcinoma, a form of cancer. Furthermore, upon examining Jeana's lymph nodes, it appeared that the cancer had spread beyond her tongue.
The circumstances are harrowing. According to the GoFundMe, "Jeana is now in her fifth week of chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy. The treatments are relentless. She is exhausted, struggling to stay awake, and becoming malnourished...." Additionally, she has not be able to work.(Jeana Keough is a real estate agent.) That has created a concerning financial quagmire for her.
Her Children Are Eager To Help Jeana
Kara also wrote, "My brothers and I want to help make sure Mom feels cared for, loved, and supported throughout this fight. Any funds raised will go directly toward expenses, everyday living costs, nutrition, and the additional support she needs while undergoing treatment."
No reason is given for why the GoFundMe was paused.
