Watch Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires Perform 'A Star is Born' Tune at the Ryman

If you've seen A Star is Born, you know the song "Maybe It's Time" is a cornerstone of the film and its incredible soundtrack. The song was penned by none other than Americana favorite and Music City hero Jason Isbell, who was part of a group of Nashville singer-songwriters involved with the film's soundtrack.

In the movie, the song is performed by Bradley Cooper (it's a signature song for his character, Jackson), but during a recent show at the Ryman Auditorium, Isbell himself performed the tune along with his wife, singer-songwriter Amanda Shires, on vocals and fiddle.

According to The Tennesseean, before Isbell debuted the song the "Cover Me Up" singer had some words of warning for anyone who hasn't yet seen the film.

"I'm trying to tell y'all the truth. If you don't like sad movies, maybe you go see the Spiderman thing," Isbell said.
