Jason Derulo Is Working on a New Country Music Project

Jason Derulo has officially gone country. The pop hitmaker has confirmed to TMZ that he's currently working on a secret country music-focused project.

Derulo refused to give away any more details, including which country act he's collaborating with. But this is far from the first time he's dipped his toes in the country world. Earlier this year, he won a 2017 CMT Music Award for his CMT Crossroads collaboration with Luke Bryan. The unlikely pair also performed a mashup of Jason's hit "Want To Want Me" and Luke's single "Strip It Down" during the awards.

Derulo's 2015 record Everything Is 4 also included a song called "Broke," which featured Keith Urban on guitar and banjo. Rumor has it that Derulo will also be featured alongside Florida Georgia Line and Hank Williams Jr. for a revamped version of ESPN's Monday Night Football theme.

So far, there's no clear frontrunner in terms of collaborators for this new musical endeavor. But we'll keep you posted on any new details that emerge.
