Rising country star Jana Kramer and NFL player Michael Caussin will soon add parenthood to their list of occupations.
The newlyweds told People they're expecting their first child early 2016. "Being a mom will be the greatest job I'll ever have," 31-year-old Kramer said to the magazine. "I feel like the luckiest girl alive to be on this journey with the love of my life."
Kramer's husband and former Washington Redskins tight end also voiced his excitement about their expanding family. "I am so incredibly excited about becoming a father," Caussin gushed. "For me it is just another dream come true and I can not imagine tackling parenthood with anyone else but Jana."
Kramer and Caussin were married in a scenic outdoor ceremony in Charlottesville, Va., May 22, after four months of dating.
"We are beyond thrilled to be entering the path of parenthood together," the couple said. "Words can not describe how happy and blessed we feel to become parents."
Until the baby's arrival, Kramer will be busy touring through October in support of her current hit single, "I Got the Boy". She also plans to release her second studio album in the coming months, but so far has not released a title or official release date.
