Rising country singer-songwriter Jamie Lynn Spears showed off her talents with a powerful performance of her latest single “Sleepover” at the Grand Ole Opry.

Rather than follow in her famous sister Britney’s pop music footsteps, Jamie Lynn has quickly made a name for herself in the world of country. “Sleepover” doesn’t shy away from some obvious pop influences, though. Pedal steel can be heard alongside electric guitar licks while Lynn sings on.

The track covers early relationship fears (“You don’t know me well enough to see me with my makeup off”) and how hesitance can get in the way early on. But Jamie Lynn didn’t show an ounce of hesitation in her performance. Instead, she commands the Ryman Auditorium stage as if it were her own.

You may know Jamie Lynn as the one-time star of Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101. However, the 25-year-old has been up to quite a bit in country music in the past few years.
