UPDATE: Jamie Lynn Spears' 8-Year-Old Daughter Reportedly Hospitalized After ATV Accident

UPDATE: Maddie Aldridge, the daughter of country singer Jamie Lynn Spears, has regained consciousness and suffered no neurological damage, following an ATV accident over the weekend.

Jamie Watson, Maddie's father, took to social media on Tuesday night to thank fans for their support.

Maddie was reportedly was taken to the hospital over the weekend following a serious off-roading accident on a Polaris ATV.

TMZ reported that the eight-year-old suffered injuries from an ATV accident on Sunday (Feb. 5). They described Maddie condition as "critical but stable." She was reportedly riding on a Polaris ATV when it flipped over and became submerged under water for "several minutes and [became] unconscious."

The website also reported that Aldridge was airlifted to a hospital in Louisiana after the accident. Sources that spoke with the outlet said that Maddie was on a hunting trip at the time and Spears was not with her daughter when the accident occurred.

Once the news broke, Spears' rep spoke with E! News and gave a statement about the accident. "The details the media are reporting surrounding the incident regarding Jamie Lynn's daughter Maddie are incorrect. Right now, the Spears family asks that everyone respect their privacy during this time and appreciates all the prayers and support for their family."

Spears has yet to comment on the accident.
