It has always been said "bad things come in threes".
According to a tweet from the country musician on Aug. 7, Jake Owen and his wife, Lacey Buchanan, have decided to divorce after three years of marriage. The news comes after two other major separation announcements in country music.
This is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. We appreciate your support and privacy in this matter. pic.twitter.com/Gz3jwktU7K

Owen met Buchanan on the set of his music video for "Eight Second Ride" back in 2009. In the video, the two share some extremely steamy chemistry, which isn't too surprising considering the track's name. We can only hope the song and video aren't eternally ruined for Owen and Buchanan.
The couple married in 2012 and gave birth to their daughter, Pearl, the same year. But earlier this summer, things seemed to be rocky for Owen and Buchanan. According to America's Morning Show, the country star told Nash Country Weekly he and his wife were experiencing some very "Real Life" problems.
"Right now -- and I haven't said this a lot lately because I didn't think this was anyone's business other than mine and my wife's -- but my wife and I, for the last few months, have really been having a hard time and struggling with communication, and literally talking about divorce and all kinds of stuff."
Speaking of threes, Jake Owen, along with the recently split Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, are headlining this weekend's WE Fest 2015 in Detroit Lakes, Minn.
