Video Premiere: Jade Eagleson Grows Up Before Your Eyes in New Video for 'Got Your Name On It'

Though he's only 23 years old, Jade Eagleson is turning heads north of the border. The Canadian country newcomer from Ontario released his first single "Got Your Name On It" on May 18h, and Wide Open Country has the cute new music video first.

In the video, Eagleson's mini-me tries desperately to woo the girl of his dreams, singing the catchy pop country tune with serious conviction. She's not so easily impressed though, so the youngster has to try extra hard.

Of course, mom steps in with some good parenting decisions at the beginning (though he still manages a tattoo behind her back). In a clever 360-degree reveal, we see Eagleson never got over the girl. But does he win her heart when they're all grown up? Watch the premiere of "Got Your Name On It" below to find out.

"I'm really excited to release my first video, for my first single "Got Your Name On It"!  This video perfectly portrays what the song itself is all about," Jade tells Wide Open Country. "Growing up, I was lucky enough to witness my dad and grandpa's constant efforts to embody the sort of romance you see in the movies, and that old fashion charm was my inspiration for this song. I'm so thankful that Ben Knechtel, (the director) was able to translate the vision and inspiration so beautifully and I hope you folks enjoy it as much as I do!"

Jade Eagleson grew up on his grandparents farm, so the rustic depiction of his young love is certainly apt. He's been playing music much of his life, but things escalated when he won the Emerging Artist Showcase at Boots & Hearts (a big country festival in Ontario) in 2017.

Eagleson eventually signed to Universal Music Canada before releasing "Got Your Name On It." Country north of the border is exploding in popularity, and Eagleson is part of a young crop of country singers molded in the vein of American superstars like Blake Shelton.
