Grammy-winning rapper J. Cole was forced to cancel his Sacramento concert on Thursday night following the tragic death of a member of his touring crew.

The crew member died in a crash the previous day while transporting equipment ahead of the rapper's scheduled performance at Golden 1 Center.
At around 6:05 a.m., the touring truck crashed and overturned on Interstate 5 in Yolo County, northwest of Woodland.

The crash reportedly occurred on southbound I-5 between Zamora and Dufour. The overturned truck blocked all southbound lanes near County Road 95.
Golden 1 Center later confirmed that a member of J. Cole's touring crew died in the crash, prompting organizers to cancel Thursday night's concert.
"Following the tragic passing of a member of the touring crew in a trucking accident this morning, J. Cole's show scheduled for tonight, August 27, at Golden 1 Center has been canceled," a statement read.
"Our thoughts are with the crew member's family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time."
The arena added that Ticketmaster would automatically refund customers who purchased tickets through the platform. Other ticketholders can request refunds from their original point of purchase.
It remains unclear whether J. Cole will reschedule the Sacramento performance.
Police Reveal Details Surrounding Fatal Tour Truck Crash
J. Cole has yet to publicly address the tragedy or release his own statement about the crew member's death.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the truck drifted onto the right shoulder. The driver then attempted to return to the roadway before losing control of the vehicle.
"It's unknown at this time, may have been distracted or fallen asleep. Unfortunately, the solo occupant did not survive the crash," said Sgt. David Barker.
J. Cole is currently traveling across the globe on his The Fall-Off World Tour, which began in Charlotte, North Carolina, on July 10.
Following the canceled Sacramento date, the rapper's next scheduled performances are back-to-back shows in Oakland on August 29 and 30.
The tour will then head to the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles before continuing through several other U.S. cities until September 23.
J. Cole is subsequently scheduled to take the tour overseas for 20 shows across Europe before completing another seven dates in the Oceania region.
The Fall-Off World Tour is currently scheduled to conclude in Johannesburg, South Africa, on December 12.
