Lainey Wilson and her fiancé, Duck, are getting married... eventually.

It's been almost a year since the couple got engaged in February of 2025. And lately, the entertainer of the year has admitted that sometimes Duck isn't even sure whether the two of them are still getting hitched. At a party this week celebrating her 9th number one with "Somewhere Over Laredo", Lainey got candid.
"I've got a lot to do..." the country singer shared. "I've got a lot to do, I will tell you that. Duck's like, 'Are we really getting married?' I'm like, 'We are.' I said, 'I do, I did, I done, we're doing it.' But it's going good."
In an interview with Evan Paul in August, Lainey admitted that she was "making [Duck] wait" since she had to wait for four years to see a ring on her finger.
"[Duck] is gonna kill me," she shared, "but I told him I'm gonna make him wait. He made me wait for four years. I'm gonna make him wait before we start planning this thing."
Lainey Wilson Is One Busy Woman
To be fair, between finishing up her Whirlwind: World Tour and winning three CMAs this year, as well as attending the awards as a host, Lainey's had quite a few reasons to hold off on planning the event. Let's face it, even though she's Lainey Wilson, she's not superhuman.
If you watched the Lions vs. Vikings game halftime show on Christmas Day, you probably noticed Lainey sitting in a sleigh of her own next to Delvin, who looked like he couldn't have been more pleased.
Wilson shared that not everything for the wedding has been finalized yet. However, she's been keeping busy, enjoying some of the biggest performances of her career so far.
"It's going to happen," she shared. "But we don't have all the details yet. I'm starting to think about it more now, because honestly, with the tour and everything last year, and also with the holidays this year... we played on Thanksgiving day for the Macy's parade, we were with Snoop Dogg on Christmas Day, and then we had the Nashville Bash here for New Year's Eve."
Hopefully inbetween all the craziness, Wilson has had some time to acknowledge her accomplishments this year. I mean, it certainly has been a "whirlwind" year for her, one way or another.
