Colleen Hoover announced that she is undergoing cancer treatment. And, as you might expect from the author of It Ends With Us, she is handling it with humor and grace.

A post from her Instagram Stories features a candid photo of Hoover wearing an unflattering hospital gown and black sweats.
"Second to last day of radiation!" she announced. "I wish I could blame my hair and facial expressions on @texas.oncology but they've been great. Hope you never need them, but highly recommend them."
What Kind of Cancer Does Colleen Hoover Have?
Hoover hasn't shared what kind of cancer she has. However, she recently did share some results from a recent genetic test on her
Facebook page, stating that it "did not come from family genes.""It also didn't come from the two main causes of the cancer, which are HPV and excessive hormones," she explained. "This means it was more than likely environmental/lifestyle, which is lack of exercise, poor diet and stress."
The post indicates that she is planning a lifestyle change soon, but has some strong feelings about it.
"I'm happy and grateful to be alive but I hate vegetables. I hate when I have to get off the couch. I hate sweating. I hate when science is right," she wrote. "If you see me at the gym, don't even tell me good job. If you see me at a restaurant eating grilled chicken and drinking water, I'm probably real mad about it."
Lainey Wilson Is Starring in an Upcoming Hoover Adaptation
Considering that It Ends With Us was a ginormous hit despite the controversy that followed its release, there have been several movies based on Hoover's books in the works.
The next adaptation is Reminders Of Him. It centers on a woman who returns home after serving several years in prison for the death of her boyfriend. She tries to find a job and reconnect with her young daughter, but struggles to rebuild her life.
Lainey Wilson will play Amy, a friend of the main character. In the movie's trailer, she appears without her signature bellbottoms and cowboy hat, supporting the protagonist as she finds her way back to love. The film is scheduled for release on March 13.
