Isabella Sause was one of those people who is a bright light for others. A student at Georgia College & State University, she wanted to be a nurse someday. However, Sause tragically died of cancer at the age of 19 before that goal could ever be realized, per People. In fact, she passed away on Sunday, August 30, after fighting cancer for more than two years, according to her obituary. It mentions this: "As she was battling cancer, she wanted to make a difference in other children's lives as a nurse to them after having so many great health professionals care for her."

The School's Women's Soccer Team Paid Respectful Tribute to Sause
In a poignant statement posted on
Facebook after her death, the GCSU women's soccer team, the Bobcats, honored Isabella Sause. It said in part, "Isabella 'Izzy' Sause, a member of the Georgia College & State University women's soccer team, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026, after a brave and courageous journey. Izzy was a 19-year-old sophomore from Loganville, Georgia, majoring in pre-Nursing.'Izzy was always a beaming light of positivity and saw the best in any situation,' said GCSU women's soccer head coach Jack Marchant. 'She was and always will be an integral part of our group, and we know she will always be a Bobcat and be with us.'
This is a heartbreaking loss, and our thoughts are with Izzy's family, teammates, friends and classmates...Please keep Izzy's loved ones and all members of our campus community in your thoughts. May Izzy rest in peace, knowing that she is deeply missed."

She had a vivacious, outgoing nature, per her obituary. Isabella Sause loved playing soccer, enjoying music, traveling and being at the beach. Clearly, she made a big difference for many others who crossed her path. According to her obituary, "Izzy was always the life of the party. She was friends with all different kinds of people. She was always the glue that could put different people in the room, and everyone would suddenly get along...."
Isabela Sause leaves her parents, Chris and Mandi, sister Savannah, other family members and countless friends and classmates.
