Store Hours During Christmas
Before we begin, as a rule of thumb, you can expect stores to be closed on Christmas Day, with reduced hours on Christmas Eve.
- Walmart: Walmart stores will close at 6 p.m. local time on Christmas Eve. All stores will then be closed on Christmas Day. Operations will resume normally on December 26.
- Costco: Costco stores will be open until 5 p.m. local time on Christmas Eve. All stores will close on Christmas Day and will resume operations on December 26.
- Target: Target stores will open on Christmas Eve until 8 p.m. Stores will remain closed throughout Christmas Day until December 26.
- Home Depot: Home Depot recommends clients check their local store for specific hours, but you can expect Home Depot stores to close at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve. The stores will remain closed on Christmas Day.
- Kroger: Kroger stores will close at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve. They will remain closed throughout Christmas Day.
- Albertsons: Albertsons companies will have adjusted hours during Christmas Eve and most of them will be closed on Christmas Day.
- Macy's: All Macy's stores will close at 7 p.m. local time on Christmas Eve. They will remain closed throughout Christmas Day.
- CVS Pharmacy: CVS Pharmacy stores will be open on Christmas Eve, with some with adjusted hours. The same applies to Christmas Day. Call your local store to verify.
- Walgreens: Walgreens stores will operate on regular hours on Christmas Eve. They will remain open on Christmas Day until 6 p.m.
- Kohl's: Kohl's stores will close at 7 p.m. local time on Christmas Eve. Stores will remain closed on Christmas Day.
- Whole Foods: Whole Foods stores will be open until 5 p.m. They will remain closed on Christmas Day.
