According to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened on February 1st at around 9 pm. Police revealed the dashcam footage on their
official Facebook page. Officers explain that the driver and passenger of the truck are both wanted for questioning "in connection with an apparent road rage incident that left a woman terrified."Police reveal that the woman was driving southbound on Central Valley Road. A Dodge pickup truck allegedly started following her before overtaking. After a few moments, the passenger began shooting out the window with a repeating firework, which appeared similar to a Roman candle.
The passenger fired no less than seven shots at the car. They also appear to be aiming directly at the vehicle instead of just idly pointing the firework out of the window. Dashcam footage shows the car behind the pickup truck to the right, and the firework shots clearly follow the vehicle as it moves to the left. You can also see the passenger angling their hand out of the window as the car moves to the side.
The report explains that the woman tried to drive away, but the truck pursued her. She allegedly saw someone in the passenger seat launching the fireworks directly toward her. Cameras recorded the incident from multiple angles around her car.
The occupants of the Dodge pickup truck finally gave up harassing the woman when she drove into a Fred Meyer Store parking lot.
The Dashcam Was Unable To Get A Clear Image Of The Truck License Plate
The dashcam footage plainly shows the truck and the fireworks but is unable to provide a clear image of the license plate. The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office is appealing for any information or eyewitness accounts. The Sheriff's Office has also provided the case number 'K25-000982' and instructs anyone with details to call 911. The Facebook post also asks viewers, "Got info on this fireworks road rage?"
