In a video posted on Instagram, the author and nursing influencer said that she doesn't want to keep the details behind the separation private anymore.
Why Is Jen Hamilton Getting a Divorce?
Jen revealed in the video, which was posted on July 26, that Brian was living a "double life."
"I'm done being people's PR manager. My kids know, everybody in my orbit knows, so I'm just going to give you the nitty-gritty details so it can give you enough information to be like, 'Okay, I get it,' " Jen said.
She added, "For the people making videos saying he's gay—God, I wish, man. Can I please trade reasons? I would give my left foot for that to be why."
Back in June, Jen shared a video of herself crying over the split. She referred to it in yesterday's clip.
"That was before I knew about the double life," she explained. "And what has come out since has caused me to deal with this as a death... I do not know this person, truly."
She added, "So I'd been the only one working for a long time because I wanted to take stress off of him... And while I was at the hospital taking care of people, he found the time to have a whole other life."
Hamilton Shares Her Two Sons With Her Husband
Despite being the father to their two sons, Jen says Brian "didn't ever really have much interest" in her. She implied that he may have been involved with someone else.
"People can judge me all they want, I'm dealing with it how I'm dealing with it," she said. "Secrets and hiding our what I believe helped make all this possible, so the way that I'm dealing with it is by not having any secrets... I never ever ever in my life told this man a lie."
Jen and Brian announced the news of their separation back in June. She shared that they are putting their family first as they go through this tough transition.
"We both want to be very clear. This wasn't about falling out of love," said a statement shared in June. "That's why this is so devastating. It was about recognizing that sometimes the most loving thing you can do is give someone space to figure out complex things. And that's exactly what we are doing."
