Influencer Reveals That She Can't Smile After Getting Injection

The influencer revealed that this was her third treatment of the neurotoxin. She is now physically unable to smile after "like three weeks".

There are a lot of people who are scared of needles and injections, me included. But it's important to know that things rarely go wrong.

When they do, however, it's not pretty for anyone. And that's something that influencer Hanner Berner has found out. As reported by Yahoo, the Giggly Squad host revealed she had some unfavorable results from an injection.

The influencer shared her experience in a video on social media. There, she explained that she had gotten an injectable neurotoxin in her masseter muscles. Dysport is typically used to treat muscle stiffness.

The influencer explained that she suffers with a condition called TMJ, which affects the chewing muscles.

She shared, "I woke up last week and I can't smile! This is me trying to smile." This is a pretty apt statement, as she is in fact unable to smile. When she tries, all that shows is a grimace.

"And look, I'm a comedian, like, joy and laughter is my life. That's all I care about." That must be pretty unfortunate for her!

She joked, "Pray for me, I've turned to religion - stay safe out there," before saying, "We're gonna get through this guys, we're gonna get through this."

The Influencer Explained What Happened

In a follow-up video, the influencer explained that this was her third treatment for TMJ.

"I went to a new place," she explained, "and they gave me 60 units of dysport on each side."

"I shouldn't have done it because now I can't smile. My face is stuck and it's been like three weeks, help me." As of right now, we aren't sure whether things have cleared up for her. Either way, we hope she's doing better.

The influencer had previously explained the types of cosmetics she had and hadn't tried in an interview in September 2025, per the outlet. She explained, "I don't look in the mirror a lot."

"Sometimes, you get in your head about stuff. It's like a comedy joke - if I listen to it too much, it stops being funny. If you look at yourself too much, you start being like, 'I hate that, I hate that,' so I always look at the mirror a little... then I envision myself as the hottest version of myself all day."
