Idaho Man Has Won the Lotto a Whopping 18 Times: "Just for Fun"

An Idaho man has won the lotto an insane 18 times. And yet, he doesn't say that's where his luck lies. He says his wife is the real treasure.

With luck like that, he should probably go buy a... oh wait!

In a pretty crazy statistic that I'm sure you're as jealous of as I am, Idahoan Robert Bevan has won the lottery a shocking 18 times. As reported by People, his first ever prize was a car.

"Back in 1997, Robert was also one of the winners of our iconic 'Blazer Bucks' promotion", the Idaho Lottery explained on Instagram. The prize? "[A] 1997 Chevy 4-Door Blazer". Pretty sweet for a first win, right?

But, his luck hasn't waned just yet. "Recently, Robert made a familiar trip back to the Idaho Lottery Winners Lobby to claim a $50,000 prize on the $1,000,000 King Scratch Game."

His other prizes have ranged from $1,000 to an insane $200,000! He's been playing consistently for almost 30 years now, alongside his wife. They do it "just for fun". I guess I'd call it fun too, if I was winning thousands!

But he doesn't attribute his wins to "luck". He says that his real fortune, and his true secret for winning, was "40 years with the same amazing woman." Such a gentleman!

People On Social Media Are Jealous of the Lotto Winner

And (as am I!), people are super jealous on social media.

One commentor wrote, "Any tips on which tickets I should scratch?", with another writing "Can I touch you please for good luck ?".

Another commentor seemed to mention some sort of conspiracy. They said, "Let me guess.... he lives in Southern Idaho.... just supports the... Southern Idaho gets the winning tickets theory." Others wanted to know his location. Is this some sort of Idahoan luck theory I'm not aware of?

Some people were a little less jealous, and more supportive of the lotto winner. One wrote, "Such a great luck story!", with another commenting "Lucky guy!"

Others really appreciated how he spoke about his wife. I will admit, it was super sweet. A commentor explained, "Awww so sweet. His wife is so lucky to hear him say this about her."

I really hope he keeps up his good luck - whether that be on the lotto, or just with his wife. Good for him!
