Tobey Maguire, best known for his iconic role as Peter Parker in the Sam Raimi "Spider-Man" trilogy, will soon swing into a new chapter of his life as a single man.

Maguire, 51, has finalized an agreement with Jennifer Meyer to dissolve their marriage, TMZ reported. Now, the couple awaits a judge to sign off to make the divorce official.
The agreement would enable both of them to become single again once it is granted by a judge. However, they still need to settle their assets and other financial matters, the outlet reported.
Maguire and Meyer wed in September 2007 in Hawaii. After nine years of marriage, the couple announced that they were separated in October 2016.
"After much soul-searching and consideration, we have made the decision to separate as a couple," Maguire and Meyer said in a joint statement to PEOPLE. "As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship."

The new agreement is a major step towards ending a years-long divorce process. Meyer filed for divorce in October 2020, nearly four years after the couple announced their separation.
The pair share daughter Ruby, 19, and son Otis, 17. Meyer, who is now engaged to fiancé Geoff Ogunlesi, confirmed that she welcomed her third child in an Instagram post she shared on Father's Day in June.
Maguire addressed custody in court in 2025. The Spider-Man star asked for joint legal and physical custody of their 16-year-old son, Otis.
He also asked the couple to use private mediation for child support and spousal support. TMZ noted that the pair have a prenuptial agreement.
Since their daughter Ruby is an adult, the pair do not have to work out custody agreements involving her.
Outside of the courtroom, Maguire has maintained a busy Hollywood schedule.
The 51-year-old actor reprised his role as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2023.
The Saturn Award winner called his reprisal a "rich experience" during a sit-down interview with SYFY.
"I was just grateful every day. It was such a rich experience and as the guys have touched on, the kind of sharing of something and the brotherhood of it," Maguire recalled alongside co-stars Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield. "It was just so rich, emotional," he explained.
