Barry Manilow canceled his show in Lexington, Ky, on Tuesday, August 4. The decision was abrupt, leaving fans stunned as he was due to take to the stage just moments later. Unfortunately, this is the second time the 83-year-old icon has been forced to pull out of a show this year.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, tonight's show in Lexington has been rescheduled," Manilow wrote on X.
Currently, no reason for the cancellation has been provided by Manilow or his team. Rupp Arena has since noted that all ticket purchases will be honored once a new date for the show has been set. However, fans may need to wait a while before any details of a replacement show become available.
According to Page Six, Manilow is still expected to take to the stage on Wednesday, when he will perform in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Manilow's previous cancellation came after he underwent surgery. He was previously diagnosed with lung cancer.

Manilow was diagnosed with lung cancer in December, 2025.
"It's pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early," Manilow informed fans on Instagram. "That's the good news."
Fortunately for Manilow, doctors believed that the cancer had not spread. However, they performed additional tests just to be sure.
"So, that's it. No chemo. No radiation," Manilow continued. "Just chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns."
As you would expect, the diagnosis led Manilow to cancel dates in January, as he began battling his illness. Fans undoubtedly understood his reasons for doing so, too.
"I'm very sorry that you have to change your plans. Just like you, we were all looking forward to the January shows and hate having to move everything around," Manilow said following the decision to cancel some January shows.
Fortunately, Manilow is embracing life as he continues to battle his illness.
"But I'm still here. I'm not all here; there's part of me that isn't here — they took out a part of me, and now I've got to figure out, 'What do I do?,'" he recently said.
Hopefully, he didn't cancel his show for anything too concerning and will be able to return to Lexington in the near future.
