The owner of Cold Stuff Ice Cream in Blackstone, Massachusetts, took on some rude patrons in a
scathing social media post. In a message posted to the owner's Facebook page on Tuesday (October 5), the shop owner told the rude patrons to check their attitudes at the door. They also noted that they deserve even more grace because most are teens working their first job.Ice Cream Shop Owner Goes Scorched Earth on Rude Patrons
"I swear to God. STOP YELLING AT MY F*****G EMPLOYEES. They are children. This job, for most of them, is their first. They are going to make mistakes," he wrote in part of the post. F
He also encouraged the rude patrons to "grow up" because at the end of the day it's just ice cream.
"They aren't in charge of anything. This can all be fixed with a smile and a polite attitude. It's ice cream, for crying out loud. Grow up and act your age,"
Some people appeared to be offended by the "act your age" part of the owner's rant. But he clarified that he wasn't trying to directly attack boomers. He said that the majority of the older patrons are "fabulous." But as for the rude customers, they know who they are and will be handled accordingly.
"Folks. This post wasn't intended to bash boomers, and I didn't intend to lump everyone together. The vast majority of the elderly folks we encounter are fabulous. And I meant no ill intent towards the age group as a whole," he added. "You know who you are, and you know who we are. But seriously, let's check ourselves around working kids. It's one group that feels borderline aggressive when something is wrong. It's a mistake, not an insult. There's no need. It's ice cream."
He also made it clear that anyone who has a problem with the post is welcome not to return.
