On Wednesday, February 4, Whataburger will be giving out free, yes, free, Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits. The promotion is to celebrate National Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit Day.
Country music star Lainey Wilson has declared the national holiday in an Instagram commercial for the fast food chain.
"Y'all loved it so much last time, I thought, 'Why not do it again?'" Lainey said. "I am officially declaring this day National Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit Day. And everybody is getting a free honey butter chicken biscuit. I just declared it. Every good run comes to an end. Hang tight, honey. It's official, y'all. Did we just make this a national holiday already? Whataburger!"
Lainey is once again promoting the popular promotion, which saw huge success in 2025. Following an 'overwhelming' response to the initial promotion, Whataburger has made it an annual thing. So, if you're going to get your free biscuit, make sure you're early, because the line is going to get long, fast.
Whataburger now has over 1,100 locations spread throughout 17 states. Although its biggest customer base remains rooted in Texas.

That's right! Lainey Wilson has a documentary on the way. The program will pull the curtain back on her rise to fame in the country scene. According to Spin, Netflix has acquired the documentary, which will be released globally on April 22.
"I couldn't be more excited that this documentary is going to be on Netflix," Lainey said of the upcoming documentary. "This was such a special project to make, and I hope that folks who watch it see that no dream is too big and that staying true to who you are will always lead you exactly where you're meant to be."
2026 looks like another busy year for the budding superstar. Lainey is getting set to tour Australia and New Zealand. When she returns to the US, she will be working multiple festivals and even opening up for Chris Stapleton on some of his US stadium tour. But none of that will come before she gets her own Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit!
