If Koe Wetzel is known for one thing, it's being a pretty crazy drinker. After all, he literally has a song about the time him and his friends got so drunk they ended up caught by cops face down in a field after trying to get Taco Bell:
"[My buddy] was like, 'Yeah, you left, and then you came back... then you kept talking about Taco Bell," he recalled. "I was laying face down in the middle of a soccer field. The cop said he thought I was dead... so I got arrested." (All of this was after a whole bottle of White Wolf vodka, by the way!)
But it looks like country star Kaitlin Butts is channelling that energy for her new album, Hello, Honky Tonk. And, as reported by Whiskey Riff, it's a doozy of an album!
She explained that her album was conceptualized from her times at one of Nashville's most iconic honky-tonks, Skinny Dennis. She pictured the whole thing as taking place there - and specifically remembered one time she went "full Koe Wetzel" at the joint.

The Country Star Said She Went "Full Koe Wetzel"
"'I Wanna Be Bad' was the one [song] that I most see a whole night there," she explained. "I had worked so hard writing these songs in a short amount of time - I was fiending for cocktails, to be entertained, to dance."
"One night, I was like, 'I'm going to Skinny Dennis, I do not care. I'm going to smoke, drink, whatever I want. I'm going to go full Koe Wetzel with it - get wild. I had a lot of fun, but that's where 'I Wanna Be Bad' stemmed from. A night that I did not care, and I wanted to go buck wild."
She also revealed her wider influences for the album, too - and I doubt you'd guess them! They're 2002's noir adaptation of Chicago, and the classic animatronic stage show at Walt Disney World, Country Bear Jamboree.
"With my new label, Republic," she explained, "I'm trying to figure out, 'What has made me me?... Because it is a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and how do we meld all of those things together?"
