Not the reward the cheating husband was expecting.

An Aussie Private Investigator took to TikTok to describe a pretty wild way that a cheating spouse was caught. Through their joint rewards membership.

The PI works for Venus Investigations, an "all-female team of private investigators specializes in the unique challenges women face today," per their website. She decided to share the details of her latest "wild" case.

A wife had hired the PI to sleuth out proof that her husband was cheating, as she was "pretty sure" he was.

The couple lived in Queensland, and the husband started to take frequent trips to New South Wales to see his family. Something he "never used to do."

Step one of the investigation was to go through their joint bank account. Transactions from stores such as Coles and Bunnings showed up, but the transaction locations did not appear. With that being a dead-end, the PI asked if they shared any joint rewards accounts.

It turns out, they shared a Flybuys account, which provided much more detail about his transactions. The transaction history displayed exactly where he was making these purchases, and it wasn't in New South Wales.

Instead, the cheating husband was caught shopping in another suburb in Queensland. The one where his ex-girlfriend lives.

Cheating Husband Gave Up Relationship For Better Rewards Deals

"$10 off your shop but a veryyyy expensive divorce ????," the PI wrote in the caption.

It's crazy to think that the rewards app contained more information about his transaction history than a joint bank account, but at least he got caught. Many in the comments found this rather strange, however.

"My bank app tells me exact locations of stores in the transaction history ?????," one writes, a statement echoed by many others. It's unclear why this wasn't the case for the couple, which has caused suspicion around the story for some viewers.

Not everyone is skeptical, however.

"Hope she kept the points ?," one jokes.

"Nailed it! Caught mine the same way ???," applauded another.

"If you see this woman following you then be on your best behaviour ??," laughs one more.
