'House, M.D.' Star Responds After Bizarre AI Death Claims

The 'House, M.D.' star revealed the bizarre AI summary in a post on social media. Fans were equally shocked and intrigued.

Everyone knows (or should know) that AI can sometimes mess up pretty darn badly. Whether you're a farmer trying to make your crops grow a little better or just trying to ask for help with a recipe, it just sometimes doesn't give you what you need.

But one thing you certainly don't expect is it telling you, to your face, that you've died. Well, for one House, M.D. star, that's exactly what's happened.

Lisa Edelstein, who played Cuddy on the show, took to social media to announce her own death. Well, to renounce it—in her words, "I AM NOT DEAD."

Here's the post from Meta AI, in case you're wondering:

"_Sadly, American actress Lisa Edelstein, known for her role as Dr. Lisa Cuddy on the medical drama series House, passed away on September 29, 2026 at the age of 60 due to a head injury from a car accident."

"A wake is scheduled for Wednesday, September 29th, at the cemetery in Boston, with a reception to follow hosted by her older sister."

"But thank you META for caring??" she mused. "My favorite part is the Catholic wake they're having for this Jew... ahem." The Meta AI explanation went on to mention Edelstein's most recent social media posts, including a post for the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah—making the Catholic wake all the more hilarious.

She ended the post, "I have a few more hours of daylight to outlive this prediction, so send good thoughts my way."

Fans Responded to the 'House, M.D.' Star's Death Claims

Of course, fans in the comments found the whole thing hilarious.

One referenced House, writing, "Was it Lupus?" with another quipping, "It's never lupus!"

Another wrote, "Mama survived Gregory House with a car and a comb, these r old news," with another joking, "House sacrificed Wilson in a ritual to bring Cuddy back from the dead."

Another asked Edelstein, "How is it up there?" with her responding, "Feels just like home!"

While we're certainly glad she's not dead, this is a pretty hilarious thing to have happen. Here's hoping she outlasts this prediction for a good long time!
