Part of being a babysitter is doing the regular duties of tucking in the kids, reading them a story, and checking under the bed for monsters. But they never expect to find one, let alone an entire man.

While babysitting in Barton, Kansas, a child complained that there was a monster under their bed. With a sigh, the babysitter got down to check for any lurking evil and came face to face with a 27-year-old named Martin Villalobos Junior.
I expect, for the babysitter, a tentacled monster would have been preferable. In the ensuing scuffle, the babysitter and child were thrown to the floor. The man hiding under the kids' bed fled, running from the scene and knocking them both over.
The shocked babysitter and the kid, who would probably never sleep again, called the police and they rushed to the scene. However, after a brief scuffle, the monster under the kid's bed had fled.

The man was later apprehended by police. He was found the next morning and chased down on foot and taken into custody. The man, known as Martin Villalobos, was recognised by the deputies. He had once been a resident of the house in which he was under the kid's bed.
The man already had a protection-from-abuse order on that house, which he breached. He was caught, and given a list of charges fit for a bed-hiding monster. Villalobos has been booked on charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery, child endangerment, felony obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and violation of a protection-from-abuse order.
At the present time, he is being held on a $500,000 bail. This will most likely keep him from the streets and certainly prevent him from hiding under any more kids' beds.
The poor kid is going to need some serious therapy after that incident. Usually, with time, a child can be convinced there are no monsters under the bed. But this little one has only had their suspicions confirmed. What on earth the man had planned hiding under there hardly bears thinking about. It's a good thing he had such a patient babysitter.
