Georgia authorities discovered five people, two of them being young children, dead in an apartment on December 7 in what seems to be a murder-suicide. The horrific incident happened in DeKalb County, Atlanta at the Vineyards at Flat Shoals apartment complex.

Five Dead, Two Of Them Children
Shots rang out in the apartment around 7:30 PM, and cops came to do a welfare check after Chanel Carter, a family member, reported the incident according to 11 Alive. They found five bodies, all with gunshot wounds.
There were three adults. Two were adult women, aged 43 and 25, and an adult man, aged 42. The last two bodies were of a five-year-old girl and a one-year-old boy.
Although it is currently unclear who the shooter was, recent insights show that four out of the five victims were related.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Carter found the bodies first. She was also able to identify the family members. The 43-year-old was Mollian Johnson, her mother, and her sister was the 25-year-old.
The two young children were Carter's niece Jedorah Powell, and nephew Jontavious Powell. The Dekalb County police identified the adult man as Jonathan Darden, Mollian's boyfriend.
"I'll never be able to talk to her or laugh with her again," Carter spoke to FOX 5 Atlanta about her sister. "Or talk with my mom, or laugh with my mom again, or hug any of them."
Investigations are still ongoing as the authorities and detectives figure out what led to this terrible incident. Carter claimed that they had been unalive in the home for five days by the time she requested the wellness check.
A Series Of Similar Events
This hasn't been the only recent murder-suicide in America. On November 27, the police arrived at a Floridian residence following a ShotSpotter report.
The scene involved the bodies of a married couple. They were identified as Sabrina Krasniqi and Pajtim Krasniqi, and the bodies were lying on their oceanfront balcony.
The officers discovered that Sabrina shot her husband five times before turning the gun on herself. Cops declared the model and her husband dead on the scene. This led to Patjim's sister, Albana Kasniqi, sharing a
heartbreaking Facebook post.Then just a week prior, a Louisiana man shot and killed his 1-year-old daughter in another murder-suicide.
The 23-year-old man threatened to end his life and his daughter's after engaging in a high-speed chase with the police. After a requested wellness check, police discovered the man and his daughter inside of a vehicle.
By the end of the chase on November 13, the father shot his baby daughter and then himself. Although his daughter tragically passed immediately, the man later died in a local hospital.
