A cappella five-piece Home Free revisit one of the songs that won them NBC's The Sing-Off in 2013 with a new video that promotes their 2017 album Timeless.
The country-influenced five-piece flex their diverse vocal talents on the new recording. Hip-hop beats drive the song without taking away from the group's multi-part harmonies, adding a new wrinkle for younger fans. Member Adam Rupp's beat-boxing skills offer another modern element to the time-tested barbershop quartet (or in this case, quintet) formula. They're not the tradition-bound Statler Brothers by any means, but that's not what their audience wants in 2018.
Concert footage is dispersed with clips of the guys goofing around on the tour bus. Like the song itself, the visuals paint a calculatedly positive take on a touring musician's hectic yet rewarding lifestyle. More importantly, it captures five good friends having the time of their lives while sharing their God-given talents.

Canadian rocker Tom Cochrane wrote and first recorded the song in 1991. His version topped his native country's charts and cracked the Billboard top 10 in the States. Its life on the road theme made it ideal cover song material for Chris LeDoux, Jerry Jeff Walker and other country singers. A 2006 cover by Rascal Flatts for the Cars soundtrack influenced the Home Free version, per their YouTube post's less than subtle title.
