Hollywood Legend Mourns the Loss of Her Longtime Manager

The Hollywood legend said that her longtime manager "can never be replaced", and that she will "forever be grateful" for him.

Hollywood legend Barbra Streisand is mourning the loss of her longtime manager, Marty Erlichman. As reported by People, he was the one who originally "discovered" Streisand and help propel her into stardom.

The Hollywood legend took to social media to pay tribute to her manager, writing, "Although Marty lived a long and full life, nothing can prepare you for the reality of losing someone so dear."

"I truly thought he would live forever. In my eyes, he was simply indestructible - always by my side, through everything."

She also noted that "we never even had a contract." "Marty can never be replaced," she concluded, "and I will forever be grateful for his friendship, loyalty, and unwavering support."

Streisand had previously explained that Erlichman was "trying to convince" her to "go on tour" just "a few weeks ago". "[He] told me he'd be there every step of the way."

She continued, "I know it's extremely rare for show business relationships to endure for as long as mine did with Marty. He trusted me, and I trusted him. This is a challenging business, but I always felt protected with Marty by my side."
