In their words, they want to give their father his voice back in an era of "rampant AI abuse."
"As we recognize what would have been our dad's 75th year, we're grateful to see new generations discovering his work. While longtime fans continue to celebrate the joy he brought into their lives," The Williams' children said in a statement posted to their dad's Instagram account on Monday.
"As technology evolves, we want this to be a safe, trusted place where the stories, photos, videos, and memories shared reflect his legacy with authenticity, warmth, and care.
They also said that Williams' Instagram account will now serve as a memorial for the late actor.
This is our way of sharing his unique talent and humor with the world, including the moments that made us and so many of you laugh, as we remember our Dad's extraordinary life and work. He continues to inspire us and delight people all over the world."
Several fans in the comments section of the post shared positive messages to honor the actor's memory.

"Thank you. Thank you for allowing that little spark of madness to continue," a second user added.
Robin Williams passed away back in August 2014. The Marin County Sheriff's Office and forensic examinations confirmed the cause of death was suicide by asphyxia.
Williams was the genius behind several classic movies. Such as Dead Poets Society, Night at the Museum, Bicentennial Man, Aladdin, and a host of other box office hits.
Unfortunately, because of his untimely passing, fans are only left to enjoy his past work. But the Williams' children are giving fans another outlet to honor their father's memory.
