A Hollywood icon is speaking out after having to drop out of a film festival. I Dream of Jeannie star Barbara Eden scared fans after dropping out of the Cinecon Classic Film Festival in Los Angeles.

She was supposed to receive the Cinecon Legacy Award. However, she couldn't be there in person. Fans feared the worst. But the Hollywood icon quickly took to Instagram to assure fans that she's okay. It turns out that she is experiencing side effects from new medication.
She wrote, "It's okay, everyone! I'm okay! Oh, my goodness there has been a bit of miscommunication. I'm not suffering from an illness; my doctor very recently prescribed a brand-new medication that turned out to have some nasty side effects."
Hollywood Icon Speaks out
The Hollywood icon added, "Due to the discomfort, my doctor ordered me to remain at home until it can be sorted out. What awful timing for this to happen! My deepest appreciation to everyone for the concern. This is just a speedbump! I expect to be out and about as soon as I'm given the go-ahead. Again, my love and thanks to everyone for all the concern."
Additionally, event organizers also released a statement about the Hollywood icon dropping out.
They wrote, "We're sorry to share that, due to a sudden illness, Barbara Eden will no longer be able to appear in person at Cinecon tonight."
"Barbara is deeply regretful that she had to cancel at the last minute, as she had been very much looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating with us," they also continued. "We know how many of you were excited to welcome Barbara. We appreciate your understanding and join you in sending her our best wishes for a speedy recovery."
One fan also wrote, "I hope you're ok! And just to say, if you have a Bug, or think, or know that you have been exposed to one, get some Echinacea! It's an immunity booster and helps you recover quickly from one. Of course, check with your Dr. to make sure it is safe and won't clash with any current medication you are taking."
