The revelation led Bialik to inquire about what Stone was like as a girlfriend. In her words, she said that she would describe herself as a "really good" girlfriend. However, she also says that she has been single for a "long time."
"I'm a really good girlfriend, but I haven't been a girlfriend in a long time. And I've been a girlfriend to bad boyfriends, and I've been a girlfriend to good boyfriends," she said as caught by PEOPLE.
"I've had good luck and bad luck and no luck at all. For quite a long time I've had no luck at all. I've been celibate for quite a while now because I'm just at the point where I really only want to be with someone that I care for."
As for when or if her relationship status will change, Stone says it could. But only if she can find someone who can connect with her on a deeper level. She added that she is looking for "someone who's my companion, not just someone to have sex with."
The actress also said that she is "kind of bored" with casual dating.
"I'min the no luck at all phase right now," she added. "The phase you need to be willing to be in to have the thing that I really want."
Stone has been married twice and engaged three times. Her first marriage was to television producer Michael Greenburg. They were married for three years (1984-1987). Her second marriage was to Phil Bronson, the former executive editor of the San Francisco Examiner. They were married for six years (1998-2004). She was also engaged to film producer William J. MacDonald in 1993, but they never made it down the aisle.
