Here's How You Can Get a Free Whopper From Burger King

Burger King wants to be the place you go when you want a burger, so it launched a new policy called the “Whopper Guarantee.”

Burger King wants to be the place you go when you're craving a burger. That's why earlier this week, it launched a new policy called the "Whopper Guarantee."

PEOPLE reports that the fast food restaurant announced that "if a Whopper doesn't meet a Guest's expectations, the brand will not only continue to remake it on the spot, but they'll offer the Guest's next Whopper for free."

How Does the "Whopper Guarantee" Work?

Burger King calls this new policy "a commitment to Whopper excellence." And the chain is making it easy for guests to make sure it is keeping up this higher standard.

Customers with a smartphone can scan the QR code on the inside of the box their Whopper came in. Then they will receive a six-digit code that can be redeemed for a free burger during their next visit.

This is part of a broader plan by Burger King to improve the customer experience. Another part of the plan is the reimagining the role of the store manager, who will now carry the title "Your Way Champion."

The change was "designed to empower restaurant leaders." Duties include welcoming guests, making sure orders are prepared the way the customer wants, and  "being available to make things right whenever needed."

Burger King Made These Changes by Listening to Customers

Burger King says that these initiatives "mark the next chapter in the Burger King brand's ongoing elevation journey, turning real guest feedback into meaningful action in restaurants across the country."

These changes were inspired by the thousands of people who participated in the company's Listening Initiative. Earlier this year, the program encouraged customers to call the company's president, Tom Curtis, to share their thoughts.

Burger King also gave its signature sandwich an upgrade for the first time in nearly a decade. This included a premium bun and "better tasting mayo." It also began serving the burger in a box with freshly cut onions and tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and tangy pickles.
