Whitney Rose's 2015 album Heartbreaker of the Year, produced by Raul Malo of The Mavericks, turned heads with its fusion of vintage pop and traditional country. Now, the native Canadian songstress has released a brand new single and it's a real boot stomper.
"My Boots," which features legendary Austin musicians Redd Volkaert and Earl Poole Ball, is an ode to cowboy boots and being yourself. Rose sings of putting personal values ahead of others' opinions, wearing thrift store clothes and preferring cowboy boots to high heeled shoes. And, like any true country girl, she knows every party is automatically made better with a little Loretta Lynn.

Since moving to Austin last year, Rose has had plenty of practice putting her sizable collection of boots (and her incredible voice) to good use at her weekly residency at The Continental Club.
Rose will be performing at Nashville's AmericanaFest on Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. at The Station Inn.
If you're in Austin, you can catch Rose every Thursday evening at the Continental Club, starting Sept. 29. For more upcoming tour dates, click here.
