David Nail is back in action with the release of his sultry, steamy and upbeat single, “Got Me Gone.”
The song is a dynamic follow up to last year’s “Nights On Fire.” If there are two things Nail does well when it comes to music, it’s heartbreak and whirlwind romance. “Got Me Gone” is no different. In it, you’ll hear the defiant vocals that make David Nail such a staple within country music.
Nail co-wrote the song with Dave Barnes and Jonathan Singleton. Fans can let their imagination run wild while listening to this track, which definitely delivers. Listen for yourself below.
In a video interview that premiered on The Boot, Nail talks about the writing process for the song. Being that “Got Me Gone” does blur the line between sensual and sexual, the songwriting process was an interesting one.
“It was so much fun to write just from a standpoint of, Jonathan [was] really willing and open to kind of say anything and go anywhere,” Nail remembers. “Dave [was] kind of saying, ‘Ehhhh, I don’t know if we can be that descriptive or that detailed.’”
As a result, the collaboration delivers a darn good song off of his fourth studio album, Fighter. An album that also features collaborations with talent such as the Brothers Osborne, Lori McKenna and Vince Gill.
