Footage showed Ford in an LAPD vehicle as the police escorted him to check on his house. The fires began early Wednesday morning and blazed through the Palisades throughout the day and night. Its destruction reached over 17,000 acres of destroyed land, affecting 30,000 civilians and killing at least five.

The Star Wars and Bladerunner actor purchased the LA home in 2011 for $12.6 million. Ford isn't the only celebrity affected either, as A-listers like Kate Beckinsale, Eugene Levy, and Mandy Moore had to evacuate.

Even worse, some actors don't have a house to return to anymore. The fires burned down Leighton Meester and Adam Brody's $6.5 million house.

The wildfires decimated estates both big and small in the Palisades, but they aren't the only fires happening. Four others also sparked, which were in Eaton, Hurst, Lidia, and Sunset.

Ford was alone when checking on his Brentwood property, and we can assume his wife and children are safe. Even if the actor's house was left unharmed, knowing the destruction it caused others in nearby neighborhoods must've been devastating.

The reactions to the horrible wildfires have differed. One video went viral of two men and their dog surrounded by flames in their house. We're unsure if the men safely evacuated, but the video is the stuff of nightmares.

Meanwhile, netizens attacked an LA millionaire who wrote a tone-deaf post asking to pay for private firefighters to save his mansion. The reactions from people online were swift, as it garnered a ton of backlash, leading Keith Wasserman to delete the post.

As the fires continue and first responders work tirelessly to contain them, more news of the LA fires will inevitably come out. It's good to know that Ford evacuated safely, but the toll of the situation must be heavy.
