One man decided to ring in the New Year by igniting 10,000 sparklers at once, and the result is astounding.
Most of us like to light up some sparklers to celebrate a festive occasion or holiday, like New Year's Eve or the Fourth of July. The Ukrainian man behind the SlivkiShow YouTube channel decided he wanted to ring in the new year with a bang.
In the video above, he shows how he used a large ceramic pot, dirt, tin foil, and cardboard to create a safe and sturdy container for his sparklers. After unpacking and placing the sparklers, he and a few friends took the giant pot out into an empty field where it would be safe to light.
After setting up safety precautions and a camera rig, the man struck a match and let the giant pot of sparklers ignite. In just a few seconds, a huge band of flames stretches nearly forty feet into the sky. It's a truly impressive sight that has a little extra spark than your average fireworks display.
Even after the sparklers cooled down, a huge spread of flames was left in the surrounding field. Although it's a very cool and inventive project, this is one experiment you definitely don't want to try at home.
