Denver hair stylist Jax Gratton has been missing. For over two weeks, according to authorities. That is heartbreaking for her friends and family. But the outpouring of love from the Denver community is awesome to see. Hopefully, she can be found and returned home soon. Here is the latest from ABC affiliate KMGH-TV:

Hairstylist Missing
Jax Gratton was a hairstylist in the city of Denver. She was last seen on April 15th and is still yet to be found. She has red hair, blue eyes, weighs 150 lbs. and is 5'8" tall, according to the Denver Police Department. And if you or anyone you know has any information regarding her whereabouts, you're urged to contact the police at 720-913-2000.
Jax was officially reported missing on April 24th. She was last seen at her apartment around 10 pm local time on the 15th. She told her roommate she would only be out for a few hours, but never came back. Obviously, it was not in her plans to be gone for a few weeks.
Jax's mom, Cherilynn Gratton-Camis, provided statements for KMGH-TV. During their conversation, she said she became worried when she didn't hear from her daughter on Easter. Cherilynn stated, "Jax calls me when great things happen and when bad things happen, and every single holiday." She even went so far as to say Jax never missed a holiday.
No one knows who Jax was heading out to meet or where she was going when she left. Which makes the start of the search pretty difficult. People close to Jax actually grew concerned when they realized she made no plans for her cat, Madam Francesca. She also didn't take her medications or makeup with her.
The Support
Since Jax disappeared, the community has been putting up flyers all over the city. They feature a picture of her and ask for any information regarding her whereabouts. In addition, there is a Facebook group created titled "Find Jax Gratton Denver", and 1,800 people have joined it.
That's an amazing amount of support for an everyday person to garner. It's moments like these and stories like these where I wonder if the world is healing. At least a little.
Jax's mom has called the love "hauntingly beautiful", and I'm in no position to disagree. Hopefully, she can be found soon.
