Guy Fieri Is Starring in a Hard Seltzer Super Bowl Commercial and We Can't Wait

We've seen Guy Fieri cooking up a storm on the Food Network, finding amazing spots to eat in the middle of nowhere in Diners Drive-ins and Dives, and challenging chefs to cook up feasts in the middle of a grocery store. What we haven't seen him do yet is appear in a Super Bowl Commercial, but that will all change this February.

The Food Network star is teaming up with Bud Light Seltzer to appear in the Bud Light Selter Hard Soda commercial, in which he plays the mayor of the Land of Loud Flavors, a twist on his position as the Mayor of Flavortown.

What is the Guy Fieri Super Bowl Commercial?

The Super Bowl ad starts with a group of friends opening up some Bud Light Seltzer Hard Sodas before the big game. Then, residents of the Land of Loud Flavors come in through the fridge and steal the drinks. The football fans then go through the fridge in a Narnia-esque moment to retrieve their drinks, where they find that Guy Fieri, the mayor of this strange new land, is on the verge of opening a can. Guy Fieri does so, and then proclaims to his town that there's a "new flavor in town." The town goes wild in excitement!

As the celebrity chef told FOX Business, "I think the Bud Light Seltzer team just happen to be the smartest people. I think they finally got it like, here's this guy that is all about loud flavor and is the mayor and is the man of the people and that's what the Bud Light and the Hard Soda team is about. They're about loud flavor, and they said let's make this work."

Along with seeing how smart the pairing is, Guy Fieri is beyond excited about this new development. "When I got the phone call this was going to happen. I really had to make sure nobody was punking me. I was like, 'Wait, wait, wait is this really happening?' Because I'm a huge sports fan - huge football fan in particular - and love all the commercials. Especially the Bud Light team has always done the best job of anybody."

He also loves the Land of Loud Flavors in the Super Bowl commercial. "I'll tell you what, the residents are off the hook. I mean, that's the great thing about it and the rivers flow. There's a statue of me holding a pretzel. Some would say, could you have dreamed that is going to happen? This is actually outside of my bandwidth. I would not have imagined that this would come about."

As Anheuser-Busch InBev says, the Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda featured has no caffeine or sugar but does indeed have "the loudest flavors ever," which makes perfect sense for chef Guy Fieri. Bud Light's VP of marketing Andy Goeler is also excited about the upcoming commercial, saying "There's no more appropriate way to bring fans a taste of our latest innovation, Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda, than by introducing our new universe 'Land of Loud Flavors' on the biggest and loudest stage possible."

Fans Have a Chance to Be In the Commercial

To make the Guy Fieri Super Bowl commercial even more exciting, football fans will have the opportunity to appear in the commercial as well if they choose. Fieri and Bud Light Seltzer are providing the chance for one fan's name to appear in the commercial, which you can win by entering the sweepstakes on the Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda's website or on social media until February 8th. The winner can choose to either have their name in the commercial or win a free Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda 12pk.

The seltzer brand just launched its variety pack of cherry cola, cola, orange and citrus soda flavors in January, so the timing couldn't be better for this super bowl commercial. Along with the Guy Fieri Super Bowl commercial, Bud Light's parent company will run adds for Bud Light Next, the new Bud Light zero-carb beer, along with Budweiser.

As excited as we are to see how Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals play in the Super Bowl LVI on February 13th, we can't wait to see Guy Fieri's performance!
