A hooded suspect is still at large after shooting up the Oregon home of an insurance company CEO. Chip Terhune, the president and CEO of SAIF, had also received recent email threats. Not only did the emails target Terhune, but they had the addresses of his family members and employees as well.

Police Investigating Gunman Who Shot Up Home Of SAIF CEO
The unidentified gunman opened fire around 4 AM on Friday, which shattered his glass front door, according to KATU. Terhune hadn't realized at first what was happening and just assumed someone threw rocks at his home. Little did he know it was multiple rounds of gunshots.

All investigators know, based on CCTV footage, is that the suspect wore "all dark clothes with a possible hoodie or ski mask." He was also carrying a "light-colored object in his hand." The shooter may have also parked his vehicle near the CEO's Lake Oswego home.
According to a police statement from the Lake Oswego Police Department, they believe that "this was a targeted incident." They don't believe this unknown shooter is any threat to the community, especially with those threatening emails. Unfortunately, the gunman is still at large, but the community of Lake Oswego shouldn't be worried.
This incident occurred around two months after another gunman shot and killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. That was also a targeted shooting as they waited for the CEO outside of his New York City hotel.
Investigations revealed that the suspect targeted Thompson as a message to their distaste of insurance companies. SAIF is a non-profit insurance company that provides workers' compensation insurance and safety services for Oregon employers. It also grants claim management for injured workers.
OJP, the Oregon Journalism Project, reported on Monday that Terhune sent an email over the weekend to SAIF employees. Here's what the email mentioned to over 1,000 employees: "We have received an email threat purporting to be from the person(s) responsible. Although it does not target any specific employee, the email references knowledge of employees' and relatives' names and addresses.
"Law enforcement is working diligently to investigate this matter and asked that we not share any additional specific information about the actual email," he continued.
