Many drivers have minor fender bender-type accidents. Although they are unfortunate, the damage is usually minimal. More importantly, there are often no injuries to anyone. However, such an accident allegedly got ugly in Jennings, Missouri, recently, per The New York Post. Per the outlet, a 63-year-old man named Lance Jeffries allegedly suffered "a vicious beatdown" on Saturday, September 19, after a minor car collision. He is described as "a retired truck driver."

Jeffries Was Allegedly Pummeled
Jeffries allegedly hit the rear of another vehicle with his, per First Alert4 (KMOV-TV). According to police and family members, when Jeffries tried to see if the occupants of the other car were alright, they allegedly began assaulting him. The wild fracas was actually caught on video. Per the outlet, Lance Jeffries' assailants were allegedly "kicking him in the face and chest, dragging him into the street, and repeatedly punching him while he was on the ground."
His Daughter Reacted
Jeffries' daughter, Valancia, has some strong words about the incident. She shared with the outlet, "From what we know, they were angry because my dad hit the back of their car. When he got out of the car to check on the other party, they got out of the car angry and yelling at my dad, and they jumped on my dad."
Furthermore, she added, "The most shocking part of it was when my daddy got kicked in the chest. The girl kicked my daddy in the chest, and the guy dragged my daddy like he was a piece of lint out of the streets. Like it was nothing."
Some of the Alleged Attackers Had Their Say
Those who were allegedly present and involved in the attack on Lance Jeffries also spoke out. Mary Moore reportedly told KSDK, "At that moment, my mindset was, 'I'm angry, I'm upset, my kids are hurting, my vehicle is gone I wasn't really thinking, 'Oh, this is an elderly man.' My actions, they're not OK at all. I am hurt and I am disappointed in myself." She added, "I did not see a 63-year-old man, and that was my fault. I saw someone who endangered my kids, and that was all I saw."
Moore, her children's father, Davion Alfred, their kids, and other family members were coming back from an outing to the zoo that day.
Alfred said, "We were trying to keep him [Jeffries] from fleeing the scene. There's always three parts to a story: the truth, the in-between, and the lies." However, he did admit that the alleged physical attack on Lance Jeffries was not appropriate. "Not at all. None of that was justified," Alfred said. "I'm hurt and I'm disappointed in myself."
Tamara Logan, Mary Moore's aunt, gave her view of events. "I apologize for kicking and slapping him. I was in the wrong. But all the threats, the harassment, and the bounty online are uncalled for."
The Aftermath of the Accident
According to KMOV-TV, those responsible for the attack ran off before police could apprehend them. Meanwhile, Lance Jeffries was taken to a hospital. Valancia Jeffries described his injuries. They are reportedly numerous and painful.
"His eyes are swollen shut. He has neck injuries, also. His jaw is swollen. He has blood clots in his leg and also in his stomach where he was kicked. So now he has to stay in the hospital so he can get surgery, and he's in a lot of pain."
She mentioned this as well. "We're heartbroken. We're devastated. We want justice. We need justice today,"
Per KMOV-TV, "On Wednesday, police said four suspects were taken into custody. Charges are being sought."
