Grammy winner Jamie Foxx has opened up about how his daughter Corinne saved his life. As reported by E!News, he had suffered a brain bleed which led to a stroke that almost killed him.
He opened up about just how critical of a role she had played in his recovery. He explained that his eyes were opened during a conversation with his doctor in an episode of Keke Palmer's podcast.
"I wanted to know [my doctor's] version," he recalled. "He says, 'Hey man, without her you wouldn't be here.'" The Grammy winner went on to compare Corinne's help to Michael Corleone's in The Godfather.
In case you haven't watched it: In the movie, Michael's father is shot, and he steps in big time to protect him. "That's who she was," he said of Corinne.
Her help was in a more public way, too. She'd "handled" media when they were asking for further comment about the Grammy winner's health following his 2023 stroke.

The Grammy Winner Experienced Survivor's Guilt
The comedian also looked back at what exactly happened to cause all of it. He admitted he "couldn't make sense" of what happened, and even said he'd experienced survivor's guilt. "What was wrong with my first chance?" he said.
"This doesn't happen to anybody. How does it happen to me?" Of course, that's a pretty serious question to be grappling with. But, of all things, it was his comedic nature that allowed him to come to terms with what'd happened.
In his words, he'd "only had comedy to lean on" in such dark times.
But now, fortunately, he has a new lease on life. He said as much in an interview with the outlet dated August 20.
"A few years back, I went through something horrible. My daughter made sure I got back. Now, seeing that I have a new life adn to have my daughters embrace it, that's all that matters, you know."
He finished his interview by stating, "This is part of living - having a new life to live and share with is amazing."
