Song Premiere: Gold Child's Warm and Shimmering 'Roses'

If you're looking for the perfect song to celebrate the final days of spring fading into the hazy days of summer, look no further than "Roses," the latest single from Brooklyn-based country artist Gold Child (Emily Fehler).

"Roses," an ethereal song about growth and change, is the lead single from Gold Child's forthcoming self-titled album (out on August 9).

"'Roses' came from a week-long writing binge I went on last winter when my boyfriend, Jake, was on tour and I was home alone," Fehler tells Wide Open Country. "It was one of those songs that sort of comes out, and 30 minutes later you have a completed track and it just feels right. It's a daydream of springtime and growth in the midst of winter; It's about the hope that I'll feel more like myself after the dormancy of winter is over, and warm weather finally arrives."
