Lawrence Taylor has been released from the hospital. The New York Giants' legendary linebacker is now recovering from pancreatitis at home, per TMZ.

"TMZ Sports has learned that LT was discharged late last week ... and we're told the Hall of Famer is feeling much better!" the outlet reported. "Taylor, 67, was hospitalized in New Jersey on April 23. We later learned LT was dealing with pancreatitis."
Taylor was in the hospital for more than a week. However, he will likely need some additional time to get back to his usual self. Pancreatitis is both painful and potentially dangerous.
At the time of Taylor's admission to the hospital, his lawyer, Mark Eiglarsh, provided a statement, while refraining from sharing his client's ailment.
"He remains under medical observation," Mark Eiglarsh, Lawrence's attorney, said. "And is showing signs of improvement. Lawrence asks that I convey his sincere gratitude to everyone who has been thinking of him and keeping him in their prayers during this challenging time."
Due to his continued recovery, it's unlikely we will see Taylor making any public appearances in the near future. Hopefully, his road to being back to himself isn't too long, and he can get back to his usual day-to-day activities sooner rather than later.
Lawrence Taylor Recently Visited North Carolina's Football Facility
Shortly before being admitted to the hospital, Taylor made the trip to North Carolina's football facility. He posted a photograph with him and legendary coach Bill Belichick on his Instagram page.
"Had a great visit at @uncfootball awesome meeting Coach @billbelichick and a LEGEND @lawrencetaylor56 ONE OF THE GREATEST TO EVER PLAY THE GAME!" the caption said.
Taylor is a North Carolina alumnus. He represented the collegiate team before being drafted by the New York Giants with the second overall pick in the 1981 draft. Taylor went on to spend his entire 13-year NFL career with the New York Giants. He is widely viewed as the greatest defensive football player in NFL history.
Lawrence played in 184 regular-season games. He registered 41 career forced fumbles, 9 interceptions, and a total of 142 sacks. His best season for getting to the opposing quarterback came in 1986. He averaged 20.5 sacks for the regular season.
It will be good to see him back on his feet in the coming months.
