Sometimes, I truly do not understand people. A Georgia woman has recently been thrown behind bars after she was accused of abusing a toddler. Not only did authorities find evidence of the poor child tied up with belts, but also with a dog leash and tether. Not to mention these heinous acts come only months after she was arrested for giving the child marijuana.

People who hurt children and animals have never made sense to me. How could you want to cause harm to something so innocent? While all the details of this case have not been revealed, enough shocking scenes have been presented to the public to know that something horrible was occurring.

Brooke Morgan Bestpitch, 24, is no stranger to time behind bars. Just a few months ago, back on February 6, she was arrested on a "reckless conduct charge." The NY Post shares that that charge was given to her "after the initial probe" found she allegedly gave the child marijuana and allowed him to smoke it.

However her time behind bars was short lived. "She posted a $1,300 bond and was released from jail the next day." It seems that night in jail did nothing to make her have a change in heart. Instead, her reckless antics continued. Now she is being thrown behind bars again after investigators discovered disturbing footage of her and the toddler she was caring for. Now, the woman stands accused of abusing the toddler.

What The Footage Revealed

After authorities secured warrants to search the woman's cellphone and Snapchat account, they found evidence that was truly disturbing. It was there that the alarming footage showed the young boy tied up — hogtied — with belts and yarn. Additionally, other footage clearly depicted the woman "yanking the child by the neck with a dog leash."

With all of these disturbing scenes unfolding in front of authorities eyes, it is no wonder that this woman stands accused of abusing a toddler. Further investigation also showed the woman using a canine tether to jerk the child around.

Currently the relationship between Bestpitch and the child is unknown. Additionally, it was not revealed if the child suffered any injuries. The NY Post shares that she was "charged with first-degree child, cruelty." Although she was booked at Hall County Jail, she was "released on a $11,200 bond on Saturday."
