On Friday, a Georgia teacher at DeRenne Middle School in Savannah picked up an 11-year-old student and threw him into some desks. And that's after the teacher spoke sexually of his mother.

Che'Nelle Russell, the mother of the student, TJ, told WTOC about the incident that harmed her son and insulted herself. The shocking video was also shared with the outlet that another student had recorded and uploaded to social media.
Russell wants accountability and action against the assaulting teacher, BeTreylin Elder, who's also a football coach.
The mother told the outlet, "I was told that he had a share of words that were inappropriate to TJ and that he had made some remarks about me, and my son was unhappy with it." As any son would be.
"So, my son then went to the front of the classroom to approach the teacher, letting him know, 'Hey, stop talking about my mom.'" But Mr. Elder didn't like the confrontation.
"The teacher then came closer to my son. My son again said, 'Stop talking about my mom', and also wanted to call me. From that point, he was then grabbed and thrown to the floor like nothing."
Teacher Assaults Student After Making Sexual Remarks About His Mother
According to another student, Elder said that he had left his shoes at TJ's mom's house, a common hook-up innuendo. To say this to an 11-year-old kid is unthinkable on its own, let alone the throw that followed.
Apparently, Elder had never met TJ's mother, making the comment purely spiteful. It's something you'd expect one of his students to say, not him.
Poor TJ suffered a concussion, multiple bruises, and is now scared to return to school.
"He needs to be placed in jail. He hurt my boy," Russell said. "I just feel like they failed me. They let me down. It is heartbreaking. It causes a lack of trust in the school system. Something needs to be done."
"I hate that [my son] had to be made an example out of to get a sick individual out of a schoolhouse, but something needs to change."
It's currently unclear what lies in wait for BeTreylin Elder, but I sincerely hope justice is served for TJ.
