Brittany was the one who

revealed that something was wrong with Navi on March 25. Back then, Navi fell ill all of a sudden, and the doctors didn't know the reason behind her illness.

"It's the scariest road we've been on when all the doctors have no idea what's going on with our sweet girl," Brittany wrote at the time. "Keep us all in your thoughts and prayers and fingers crossed we will get some answers and our little girl will not be in so much pain."

One day later, on March 26, Brittany shared an update on Navi's health. After a CT scan was performed, doctors found that she had an inflamed colon. Her white blood cell count was also elevated. Doctors believed at the time that Navi was suffering from sepsis.

According to Mayo Clinic, sepsis occurs when one's body reacts improperly to an infection. This causes the organs to work poorly as the "infection-fighting processes turn on the body." Sepis could lead to septic shock which also lead to death.

Tragic Death

Brittany revealed that Navi was transported to Arthur M. Blank Hospital, directly to the cardiac intensive care unit. Navi would stay there for only a day as she, unfortunately, passed on March 28 at 7:04 p.m.

"This is the hardest thing we've ever had to say or do but our beautiful, precious, purist baby girl Navi was given her wings and went home with Jesus," Brittany wrote. "Thank you for all the love and support, it means the world to us and would love for everyone to join us for her celebration of life once we figure it out. Love you all."

According to he obituary, Navi Noelle Zah was described as a "shining light" to everyone around her. She is survived by her parents, Royce and Britanny, and her two sisters, Remi and Andi. Navi is also survived by all her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Movingly, Brittany shared a caravan of troopers taking Navi to Smyrna, Georgia. "I know she's watching from up there today," wrote Chris Carlisle, who accompanied Navi.

The Zah family will welcome friends and family on Friday, April 4, at Mount Paran Church from 10 to 11 a.m. Her Celebration of Life will follow, scheduled for 11:00 a.m.

The Police Benevolent Foundation (PBF) set up a donation fund for the Zah family. Funds raised will help cover Navi's funeral expenses as well as other costs related to her death.
