Georgia Man Builds Gigantic Trump Ship Out Of Beer Boxes, Plans To Sail It For Big July 4 Bash

A Georgia man has put his brains and engineering skills to use to create the ultimate conversation piece for a 4th of July bash. He's created a gigantic Donald Trump inspired ship made out of beer boxes, cardboard, and electrical wiring.

Speaking with Wide Open Country, Cody Ivie described his creation, "Think of it as a titanic power wheels for adults. Something that get the frat boys to go party with the rednecks."

He said that it took him around 18 months to build the ship. Although he used cardboard and beer boxes to help shape the exterior, the creation wasn't cheap to make. Ivie dropped around a grand to build his boat, crafting an internal electrical system for the watercraft.

He explained that he used "3 different types of tape cardboard" on the exterior. He also said, "The frame is built out of the wooden sticks that you use to steer. Paint, car parts, and other things I created inside — There is an electrical system. If water gets more than 2 inches, there's sensors that will turn a caution light. And also turn on pumps to pump the water out."

Trump Titan To Take Sail

He said he also designed the Trump ship with "watertight compartments like the real titanic." He plans to craft a system on the ship that allows it to shoot fireworks from the water.

According to Ivie, the most challenging part has been getting the motor up and running. It's something that he is still working on but is confident that he will master.

He explained, "The most challenging I haven't succeeded yet. But I built the propellers out of radiator fans but the motors won't work. So in the long run I want to weld them in with a golfcart motor because the space in cargo is set up for 4 car batteries."

Despite some setbacks, Ivie admitted that he's built other smaller ships prior to the Trump. So he's confident that it will sail. He explained cheekily, "With Trump's name on it, I know it's gonna be a winner."

Ivie is already looking forward to his 4th of July event. He explained, "My plans are to put out on river 4th of July and have a concert thinking it should light up redneck beach." On that day, the Trump ship or Trump Titan as the ship reads will take sail. Until then, Ivie is busy working on fine-tuning the vessel.
